To promote self-esteem and self-awareness through the dramatic arts/theater. Students learn basic theatrical techniques (characterization, voice projection, and stage directions). Students also learn to create props on a budget. In addition, students learn preparation for at least two major performances for the year (fall/winter and a spring production). Students are expected to come to all practices which are scheduled a month in advance (please see calendar below with bold dates)and have scripts properly memorized and prepared for performances. Auditions are held for each production, seasonally. All students are welcome to join, but not all students are guaranteed a speaking role. The Drama Club rules and regulations form must be completed and signed by the student and parent or guardian before a student can officially join the club. Practice times are always pre-scheduled and run seasonally.
