About Me:

My name is Deborah Gayle, George M. Hampton Middle School’s Registered Nurse. I started with PWCS in 2014, I worked in various school settings. I found my forte during COVID Pandemic 2020/2021school year when I worked at a middle school. I realized that I could use my energy and passionate hands with this age group to mold them into making better healthier choices after leaving elementary school and before entering high school.

Before coming to PWCS, I worked in a variety of hospital settings, Women and Children; Labor and Delivery, Mother Baby and High Risk Perinatal. MD Private Practices and the Geriatric population. It is a very interesting background experience that allows me to have a well-rounded skills set.

I am originally from Charleston, South Carolina. I am married to an Army warrior who served for 26 years, and we have 2 children.

Student Health and Wellness Services nurses strive to launch Dr. LaTanya McDade’s strategic plans to ensure all students are educated and will graduate on time. The PWCS nurses work together and collaborate to ensure a successful launch. SHAW nurses aim to provide continuity of care from the Western end to the county’s Central and Eastern end. The skills and teaching we provide to all stakeholders will assist in encouraging students to stay in class, avoid missing valuable class time or leaving school early by promoting a safe and healthy environment to all students and staff of PWCS.
