Literary Magazine Club
Instructor: Ms. McLaughlin
"The Golden Alabaster HMS Literary Magazine"-develops editing skills and collaborates with the collection of student literary pieces and artwork. The Literary Magazine Club meets on every other Thursday and scheduled meetings from 3:00-4:15. The students in the club collaborate and collect works from the student body that include but are not limited to short fiction/nonfiction stories, poetry, essays, comic strips, artwork, etc. These works are then chosen by the literary magazine staff to go into an anthology that represents the school. The anthology is published in the late spring of the school year and sold at a minimal cost. Every year the club also sponsors a cover contest in which the winner gets their artwork displayed on the cover of the magazine, a free magazine, art supplies, and a special gift.
