8th grade Civics: Basics of US government and Basics of Economics

Standards Covered: Constitutional Foundations (CE2a-d), Citizenship (3a-e, 4a-g), Political Parties and Process (5a-f), US Constitution—National, State and Local Government (6a-d, 7a-d, 8a-c), Judicial Branch (9a-d), Making Public Policy (10ac) 

Office Hours: Every Tuesday from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm


Questions? You can contact me during this time and get a more immediate response. I will answer questions throughout the week as I can. However, this time is dedicated to you and your questions!

-8th Civics Class Instruction: Every Thursday from 8:30 am to 10:00 am.

-What? This is the time each week you will work on Civics. Sometimes it will be a reading and questions. Sometimes it will be videos with questions. Sometimes it will be a Zoom class session and discussion. Sometimes it will a combination of all these.

Quarter 3 Grades: 

- Focus on completing any make-up work or test/quiz retakes to raise your Quarter 3 grades between now and through April 24.

-After April 24, Quarter 3 grades are final.

-Overall Grades???? Quarter 1 + Quarter 2 + Quarter 3 = Cumulative Grades—

-No Quarter 4 grades will figure into your overall grade in a class.
