As of 27 May 2020 (Wednesday) 8:31pm!

Howdy, y'all!  Hope all is well!

I think I'm going too easy on you this time!

No "Food for Thought" in this Assignment, but there is a Quote with links that  I think you can sink your teeth into - or skim over at your leisure.  But either way, you have a good review of the Boom & Bust years, and what answers they have for us in our struggle today.  Slides 16 are posted as well.

And you can start, of course, in the Assignments - May 2020 folder where you will find past Assignments as well.

Still we have the downloadable PowerPoint slide that will link you to Our Textbook!  Username and password included.

And see our "Useful Links" for some help if you have password issues or for guidance on our Virtual School Schedule :)

Be well!

Office Hours:
Monday through Friday, 8am until 3pm

I check my emails at 8am, 12 noon and 4pm.
You may email me with your questions at any time.
My goal is to have an answer for you by the end of the next day.
(My more focused hours will be on Tuesdays 1:30-3:00pm. I hope to give you faster feedback during that time.)

Student Work Time:
Thursday, 8:30 until 10:00

This is when you will find new postings, assignments, links
and ways to improve your grade by completing reviews of work we covered BC (before COVID).
You should finish your assignments in Microsoft Teams,
and don't forget to attach your work
(document, presentation, etc) at the end.

Look for these in our Files & Documents link.
They will give you an overview of what we will examine
in the lessons to come.

Announcements and Assignments:

I will announce news and assignments here, but your assignment work should be done using O365 programs and sent in MS Teams.
Check back daily to see what's new. (17 Apr 2020)

02 Apr (Thu)
BrainPOP (at, of course) has given us new free access.  Check it out with username:edwards405 password: 22193S (same pw as for our textbook).

Use BrainPOP to refresh your memory on topics we've covered such as World War I and The Great Depression.  You can also look ahead at the leaders and events of World War II and The Cold War.  You can even do your own research into past "epidemics" and "viruses".  Try a search in BrainPOP on those words.  See how we got through those times...because we're going to get through this one, too!

03 Apr (Fri)
Before you go off to Spring Break (yeah, right!), take a look at your account in Teams.  You should have received a notice/email that will help you raise your grade...I know, I know...but it will probably take you all of about 5 minutes to get it done, and it is on a summative test you took before we left.  (I'm tryin' to help you out!)
Once you are done, post it right there in Teams, and email me so that I know to go look for it.
After that - C U when I C U...and until then BE WELL!!

15 Apr (Wed)
Tomorrow is your focused instruction time.
You will see your Assignment in Teams; I'll post it this afternoon.
It might help if you write your thoughts out on paper before you start creating your document to answer any questions.  When and if you do (no pressure!), make sure your name and subject title are saved in the filename!

16 Apr (Thu)
I'm standing by on Teams :)  Your assignment is posted - start exploring!  Send your questions and comments to me through Teams so that I can answer you.

17 Apr (Fri)
I am seeing some very good work being submitted; give yourself a pat on the back.  For those of you who are still just looking at the assignments, I hope you are at least opening the links to absorb some of the material.  Regardless of when we get back in the classroom, Life goes on - you will need to be aware of American history in your future! :)
Enjoy your weekend!

21 Apr (Tue)
I'm standing by on Teams and email to take your questions :)

30 Apr (Thu)

05 May (Tue)
Happy Cinco de Mayo!  Let me know of any issues you have with our postings :)

12 May (Tue)
If you made it this far, celebrate!
